New Addition to the IBA

From the Desk of St. Louis Trotters Director of Team Operations DeWarren Smith:

We would like to thank the many people who have supported us this season as we take on the best and brightest of the Independent Basketball Association. The road hasn’t been easy and there have been many road blocks. There are many who are excited to hear about our efforts to “Bring the ‘spirit’ of professional basketball back to St. Louis,” and there are some who totally reject the notion of a pro basketball team here at all because they feel it will not be supported. The only response that I can give to the naysayers, is something I heard from one of John F. Kennedy’s famous speeches:

“But why, some say, the moon? Why choose this as our goal? And they may well ask why climb the highest mountain? Why, 35 years ago, fly the Atlantic? Why does Rice play Texas?

We choose to go to the moon. We choose to go to the moon in this decade and do the other things, not because they are easy, but because they are hard, because that goal will serve to organize and measure the best of our energies and skills, because that challenge is one that we are willing to accept, one we are unwilling to postpone, and one which we intend to win, and the others, too.” -JFK

You can very well consider having a successful professional basketball franchise in St. Louis, like going to the moon over 40 years ago. Many people think it is impossible but President and team owner Milan Pepper and Head Coach Harold Webster one day decided that they wanted to go to the moon by making the St. Louis Trotters Professional Basketball Club a reality.

Block Boyz Live Half Time Performance Saturday Nov 3rd @ St. Louis Trotters’ Season Opener!

That’s right this Saturday, St. Louis’ own Block Boyz, Blizz, Kco, and Butta will be performing live during Half time at  the St. Louis Trotters’ Season Opener! You know these guys represent the Lou and hold it up like kickstands, right? Well we guarantee they are coming out to keep the crowd hype and jumpin!  Come on out Saturday, Nov. 3rd,  7pm at Wohl Center 1515 N. KingsHighway, because these boyz will definitely be in the building!

The underground is okay, But St.Louis artists feel they have chances, But no chance at a shot to the top and a lot of rappers, singers , dancers etc., seem to just give up after awhile because of people selling them dreams.So many people come to St.Louis to make money not to make dreams come true,(NEVER GIVE UP!) is what i say,think outside the box and get out the city as much as possible rub elbows and build relationships stay humble keep your bridges to cross don’t burn any and you should see yourself coming out the LOU.
