The St. Louis Trotters continue to seek chances to prove the flexibility of their brand by offering up its own Mixtape! The idea was conceived by Trotters V.P., D. Smith and confirmed by Promotional Director, Jackie “JP” Phillips, that the integration of hop hop and professional sports was an association that would be easy to create. The City of St. Louis is rich with talent and the two set out to put together a project that would be worthy of a 1st time offering and that would be well received by music fans and sports fans alike. Integral to putting the project together a search high and low was conducted by D. Smith and with the assistance of DJ Shad and MidwestMixtapes Adam Murphy artists from Chicago, Rockford, and Gary, Indiana were included in the mix.
Drawing upon a unique partnership between MidwestMixtapes.com and the hot new DJ Coalition The Durrty Boyz (DJ Krisstyle, DJ ASC, DJ Charlie B, and DJ Raydar) the stage was set to bring the project to the masses! In the truest since of the word a mixtape combining artist from all over the IBA Midwestern Region was put together and became something groundbreaking for the young and cocky St. Louis sports franchise.
